Development of Web Application:
Expanding Patient Base with Integrated Digital Services

About the Client

Sushila Mathrutva Clinic, a gynecology clinic and maternity center in Bangalore, is led by Dr. Hira Mardi, a renowned gynecologist and former Assistant Professor at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences in Whitefield, Bangalore. Dr. Mardi specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and is well-regarded for her dedication to women’s healthcare.

Challenge

With an increasing preference for online consultation post-pandemic, Sushila Mathrutva Clinic required a digital solution to meet patient expectations for convenience and flexibility, enabling them to provide consistent healthcare services to their patients both in-person and remotely.

Execution Strategy

Web-Based Application for Video Consultation: To serve patients remotely, a user-friendly web application was developed. This allowed patients to have video consultations with Dr. Mardi and other specialists, meeting the demand for flexible healthcare options.

Goals

The primary goal was to increase patient footfall, while secondary objectives included expanding brand visibility, fostering patient trust, and enhancing community engagement.

Execution Strategy

Integrated Appointment Booking System: The application included an easy-to-navigate appointment booking system, allowing patients to book slots online, reducing wait times, and ensuring a smooth experience.
Backend Appointment Management: The system also provided backend support for staff to manage bookings efficiently, allowing the clinic to handle more patients and maintain a high level of service.

Data From The Campaigns

Results

The web application significantly expanded SMC’s patient base by 100% over two years. Patients enjoyed the convenience of remote consultations, and the clinic’s digital offerings helped build patient trust and loyalty. Additionally, the clinic's growth allowed it to open two new departments: General Physician services and Fetal Medicine.

Conclusions

Through the development of a robust web application, Sushila Mathrutva Clinic successfully increased its visibility, patient base, and brand trust in the post-pandemic landscape. This digital transformation effort not only improved patient access to quality care but also enabled the clinic to grow and adapt, expanding its services to meet evolving patient needs.
